My impression of this app went down a ton now that a plane isnt a dollar!

As an rc enthusiast, I have to say this is very realistic. Its a little simple, but still fun. 3 dollar per plane is a bit much, but the freebie one is fine. A tutorial for teaching people how to land would help novices learn actual skills for improving real life flying.

Wast of time

As real as it gets. Would like to see more plane options. Love it!

First the positive points of this App. Its very realistic and feels really similar to flying RC airplanes. Negative points are (1) The points of view when flying could be a lot better. Right now it has three. The default POV is the best. Its represented as you viewing the airplane from a fixed spot on the ground. Downside is the airplane get a long way off very quickly and its hard to see obstacles, etc. Second POV is from directly behind the aircraft as it flys. The view is too narrow, so you loose your ground reference and obstacles easily. Third POV is flying from the cockpit. Its a little better, but you have no pitch or airspeed reference, so its easy to stall or loose control. If there were more views, or more detailed views, this would be a killer App. Real time airspeed data would be nice as well, and more aircraft models, like a Pitts or Extra with smoke !!!

Pretty good practice.

This simulator does not look as good as any of the other ones, and features no movable air surfaces. However, the controls are very fluid, and the airplane flies very realistically. It flies exactly how a high dihedral high wings trainer should! Best of all, it is free! However, I did purchase all of the airplane ask, because they fly realistic also. If you can fly this for 20 minutes without crashing, and take off and land 10 times in a row without crashing, you are ready for real RC airplane.

This is a good game,but it would be easier to fly if you add Gyroscope.

This is the most realistic rc airplane sim that is free for apple devices from the awesome crashes that break up like a real rc plane to the scenery. How ever there should be more free airplanes to fly. Also th company could put moving flight surfaces in all the models. The limit of one free plane is why Im giving this sim 3 stars put like a free jet and warbird and then I will give it 5 stars.

Thats about it. It only comes with one plane. Its not as visually realistic as other simulation apps. The controls are sub par. Its not possible to configure the responsiveness. Sometimes the controls will release in flight without warning. I wondered why the plane wasnt responding, only to realize too late that the stick was no longer locked under my thumb. I found the alternate surface controls to be all but useless. Theres also no way to implement various wind conditions. There is only one field, but its a good one to practice on. The obstacles are well placed and well enforced. When you crash, the plane will disintegrate very realistically with the appropriate sound effect. All that said, the actual flight simulation is excellent.

Add flaps, button to retract landing gear, and maybe a smoker to sky write

The single free trainer is challenging enough because controls are sensitive. I fly a loop, barrel roll, speed pass, figure eight, and land, repeat if no crash, just to stay practiced. Do it ten in a row & ready for real deal.

The flight dynamics of this particular sim are exceptional and thus it makes this app a great tool for practice. Even though the graphics are not as good as some others and additional aircraft models may be a little pricey by some standards, this is definitely made up for with the usefulness that this app provides for simulating and testing your skills as an R/C pilot. Granted, the control rates, trims and weather are non adjustable, but the control response isnt too twitchy like some other simulations. Its also great to see that this particular app doesnt reduce the art and fun of R/C flying into a game either, with needless challenges and other such nonsense as so many other available "R/C" flying apps do.Though it only comes with just one airplane (a basic trainer) for a free app in todays self-entitled world of "gimme, gimme," thats A-OK with me because after all; this app is FREE. And though games may be fun, sometimes you may just wish to keep up on your skills when you cant get out and fly, and I am glad to say that this is a true simulation and provides as much as can be done for a smart phone app.

This game is so much fun! I have the xbox360 version and its almost identical! If you like RC planes, then you need to at least try this game! I hope the planes go on sale again soon!

Terrible cant even control the planes

If you can successfully fly and land a plane in RC-AirSim then you can probably fly a real model. I use this to get some flying practice in between trips to the field.

Great app, I been flying rc planes for 3 years now and since the last update you guys nailed it. I only have one problem and its the trees and barn in the center of the flying field it obstructs you vision sometimes.
